Welcome. Today I’m going to show you how to create dimensions in Sightfull. In Sightfull, dimensions are essential for giving context to your data, transforming raw figures into meaningful insights. They define the characteristics of your data entities, allowing you to label and categorize information effectively. By setting up dimensions, you can create clear labels for your data columns, making it easier to understand and analyze your information. This process enables more accurate reporting and deeper insights into your business metrics.
To create a dimension, head over to the Ontology section. This is where all your data structure magic happens. Once you’re there, find and click on the entity where you want to create dimensions. This could be anything—accounts, leads, opportunities—whatever makes sense for your use case.
Now that you’ve selected your entity, you’ll see an option to create a new dimension. Click on that, and you’ll be ready to define your new field. You can either let the AI assist you or create a dimension manually. Let’s go through both options.
If you want to use AI, just type in what you need, and it will generate a dimension for you. For example, say we’re working with accounts in a finance setting, and we want to count the number of leads associated with each account. The AI will generate a formula like COUNT($leads.id), which essentially counts all the leads linked to each account. Simple, right?
If you prefer to create a dimension manually, that’s just as easy. Let’s say you want to categorize accounts by industry. Since this information already exists in your data, you can just select the relevant field directly from the table. No formulas needed—just a straightforward way to organize your data.
And that’s it! Whether you use AI or set up dimensions manually, Sightfull makes it easy to shape your data in a way that works for you. Now go ahead and give it a try in your own workspace. Happy analyzing!
