How to Export Data from Sightfull | Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome. We're going to talk about exporting metric data. The first thing you're going to want to do to export your data is to go into the metric.

We're going to use ARR as an example. Once you're in the metric you want to export, select the period using the Period Picker in the top left.

We're going to use months. Now we can see the monthly ARR data. To export the data, use the Export Table option above the metric. Clicking this will show you the available export options.

You can either export the data as a CSV, or use real-time data exports to Google Sheets or Power Query.

To export as a CSV, simply click Download, and the CSV file will be available in your downloads. You can now open it and see the data formatted as a CSV.

Now, let's do this in Google Sheets. First, open a new Google Sheet. Create two tabs—I called the first one Data and the second one Settings, but you can name them as you prefer.

Next, go back to Sightfull. In the top right, click to open the menu. From here, go to Account Settings.

On the left-hand side, select Personal Settings. Here, we’re going to generate a new API Key. We'll call this Google Sheet and click Generate.

This will create an API key with a Client ID and Secret Key. In the Settings tab of your Google Sheet, paste the Client ID and Secret Key.

Now, we will name the ranges in Google Sheets. Click Data, then Named Ranges, and select Add a Range.

The name of the first range should be Client ID, and it should point to the cell where the Client ID is pasted. Do the same for the Secret Key, ensuring it points to the correct cell.

Now, go back to Sightfull, click Export Table, and select Real-time Export. The link will be copied.

Return to Google Sheets and paste the copied link into a cell.

You will now see the period and ARR as selected in the metric table. This data updates automatically, allowing you to use it as needed.
