How to Use Global Filters in Sightfull | Step-by-Step Guide

Global Filters allow you to apply the same filters across all widgets in a dashboard. 

To add a Global Filter, click on Add Filters in the top right corner of your dashboard. 

You'll see a built-in row of date filters. Let's select 5 quarters. Now, we can see 5 quarters displayed in our bar graph. 

You'll also notice that the Numbers Widget has changed into a bar chart. This happens because Numbers Widgets only support a single time period. 

Now, let’s reset the filter by clicking on the dashboard and explore other filters. 

Let’s filter by Contract Length. 

Let’s set it to greater than 6. 

Looking at the table below, we currently have values of 6, 12, and 24. Since we set the filter to greater than 6, we expect the 6th column to disappear. 

We’ll also see a decline in the bar graph and in the Bookings Number widget. 

Now, let's click Enter. 

All of these changes occur:

• The 6th column disappears
• The bar graph adjusts
• The Bookings Number updates
